Our Watsons Bay market is on this weekend, come along
We’re so delighted that the sun looks set to shine on our wonderful Watsons Bay Summer Market this Sunday. It’s going to be a brilliant day by the waterside and a lovely way to bid farewell to the remainder of the school holidays. Join us at Robertson Park from 10am to 4pm to peruse our many stalls selling all manner of fascinating and fun wares. From beautifully crafted tipples by Savannah Estate to ambience-lifting gifts from Verve candles, and a veritable lazy Susan of hot eats, including Damaskos Souvlaki, the Street Food Project and Sofrito Paella, there willl be ample opportunities to be tempted by our 150 stallholders. See you by the water on Sunday.
Come down to the Entertainment Quarter on Saturday to get prepped for the start of school. You’ll find lunchbox and after-school snacks, and perhaps a few little sweet bribes to ensure the year begins with minimal resistance. We’re also celebrating mid-summer produce, such as juicy stonefruit, sweet grapes (here’s our hot grape tip: pop them in the freezer for icy snacks on hot days), and leafy greens to plump out those salads that are on high rotation at the moment.
The ever-popular 2 Duck Trading Co returns to the EQ market this week with their array of linens, oh-so-French striped tops and market baskets. Basketcases (that’s us) will unravel over these woven arm candies that never go out of style. From totes for carrying groceries (a baguette poking out the top is essential), to backpack styles, and carryalls with fun patterns, your dream basket awaits.
Also at EQ this week is Buffalo Vale Distillery. If you’ve not yet swung by the stall of this small-batch distillery, which hails from Buffalo Creek in Sydney’s north, you’re in for a true treat. Adept in the alchemy of alcohol that transforms ordinary ingredients into elegant spirits, you’re sure to find your new favourite gin, vodka or bottled cocktail here.
Don’t forget our The Shire Summer Market will be held over two big days on Saturday and Sunday February 5–6 at Miranda Park. This giant mixed open air market brings together a collection of creative and covetable goodies to call your own. Stroll the stalls for gorgeous photographic prints to adorn your walls from Daniel Mann, and unearth fashion finds at Ocean the Label and Stellino. Then spoil yourself with a deserved treat from Mr T’s Churros and Mr and Miss Pancakes. There will be plenty for everyone so please come along and enjoy some Shire hospitality.
