Okay so it may be a little chilly outside but that doesn’t stop the markets. This weekend, come along to our very special monthly event, the Wentworth Point Market. This beautiful market found at Marina Square at Wentworth Point will offer a bounty of fresh produce, hot food and fabulous things for both the home and yourself. This week at Wentworth Point, we are lucky to have Prickle Hill Farms along as one of our incredible stalls. Run by the Duffell family, Prickle Hill are 4th generation farmers from Coleambally, south of Sydney. They have been long-time favourites at our market at EQ, Moore Park, and it will be fantastic to have them along at Wentworth Point with all their finest winter produce.

Also along this week will be Sodswalls Organics, an organic family farm located at Sodwsalls in the central tablelands region of NSW. The family “employ the practice of permaculture and believe in the core tenants it offers for a more sustainable earth”. All their products are produced and grown on their farm, with the vegetables grown in a no-till market garden. Expect carrots, beetroot, lettuce, garlic, kale, leeks, spring onion, parsley, silverbeet, green beans, zucchini, radish, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers and potatoes.

Meanwhile, West Walla Farm Eggs will offer the freshest and most lovingly produced eggs. Walla Farm is a small family-run regenerative farm in the NSW Eastern Riverina. Farmer-owners Tobias and Amy Lehmann say: “our farm operates with the simple belief that loved, happy and content animals will produce tastier food. Our chickens are moved regularly in their chicken caravans on to fresh pasture. They eat fresh grass, forage for bugs, have uninterrupted access to the outdoors, are encouraged to express their true ‘chicken-ness’, and are never locked up. The result is delicious, nutritious, and ethical eggs that are good for you and the earth.”

Also along to Wentworth Point Market this week will be some of Cambridge Markets’ favourite regulars. We have Hank’s Home Bake Pizza bringing it with their Marrickville-made, Neapolitan-style pizzas that take just six minutes at home in the oven. Like a trip to Italy without leaving home.

Then there’s Naturally Sauced, with their incredible range of sauces, dressings and condiments made from only ethical and sustainable ingredients. Naturally Sauced is also leading the way in offering their products in biodegradable packaging.

Also at the market this Sunday, there’s Fishing Joy for kids, plus face painting, and children’s clothing from Scoken. For grown ups there’s fashion from Stellino, jewellery from Bowerbird, eco stall 4Eva Eco. Hot food comes from Sofrito Paella, On Ya Gnocchi, Bellamy & Co, Ash Rotisserie plus there’s pizza, crepes and dumplings. Come along also for Brooklyn Boy Bagels, Byron Bay Olives, Hudson’s gluten-free bakery, Scrumpets, Savannah Estate Winery and Thicc cookies. And…. plants, pots, pet gear and pet treats and even cured meats. Something, truly, for everyone.

Don’t forget that open-air markets are the healthiest environments for shopping. Come along, pick up your weekly food supplies and have a fantastic outdoor experience meeting real farmers and producers.
