Our EQ market is on come rain or shine!

When it rains, it certainly pours. If the forecast is to be believed, we’re in for some stormy weather tomorrow. Add that to the gloomy news of new Covid cases in Sydney and this weekend is taking on a distinct pear shape. But, even if you decide to shelter indoors for most of it, you can nip out to our wonderful Saturday market at the EQ for necessary supplies. As we’re set up nice and dry and undercover, we’ll be carrying on selling farm-fresh produce, artisan goods and handmade wares, rain or shine. And with two hours of free parking on offer, it’s easy to duck out for a quick shop, or stay longer to browse our beautiful stalls, should you feel like the walls are closing in at home.

When it’s time to don the winter woollies and ugg boots, that can only mean comfort food. We have you covered for indulgent eats and sweet treats at the market this Saturday. For those out and proud chocoholics, we have Emporium of Chocolate and Charles Chocolate. For the carb-loaders, there’s home-baked pizza from Hank’s and sourdough crumpets from Scrumpets. For those who love a deli spread, we have Great Southern Salami Co. for all things cured and dried, Tothy Brothers Deli for pastrami, pickles and more, and 2 Duck Trading for French-accented indulgences, such as foie gras. So pull on those stretchy pants and come grab your favourite comfort eats.

There’s nothing like huddling over a bowl of hot broth when it’s wild outside. Come to the market tomorrow for a shop, then warm your cockles with a deeply satisfying pho from Pho Bay Noodle. If cheesy is more your style, grab a gozleme, or for a little spice to warm you from the inside-out, head to Mojo Picon. There’s also Turkish Kofta and gourmet sandwiches from Tothy Brothers Deli.

Our open-air market is one of the healthiest shopping environments you’ll find. Here you can purchase goods direct from the makers, growers and producers. This means what you buy has been handled by very few people, making it a much safer option with far less contact. As always, we love to see our community enjoying themselves at the market, but please help to keep it open and protect yourself, your fellow shoppers, and the livelihoods of our stallholders by staying home if you feel unwell.
