Come along, it's our biggest EQ market of the year

Remain calm, we’re still here.
Don’t be alarmed when you turn up to the market tomorrow and we’re not in our usual spot. We’ve just moved location ever-so-slightly until the end of the year while our 20-year-old market canopy is replaced. The canopy has served us well, but everybody needs a little refresh now and then. So follow us along Brent Street, meandering through the streets and ending at the new hot food area, where you’ll find plenty of seating and grassy spots to enjoy a bite and some live music. Look for our flower stall, just out the front of its old spot, and you’ll see us.

In fact, it may be just as well we’re out from under the canopy this week, because we have our biggest EQ market yet with more than 50 stalls! Be prepared to set aside a fair portion of your day just to discover everything on offer. Find a huge range of fashion and jewellery (just in time for those Melbourne Cup soirees), fresh produce, artisan eats to takeaway, bespoke homewares and hot food.

Fashion on the field
The race that stops the nation is approaching faster that Phar Lap. Not that we really need an excuse to dress up and celebrate these days, but the Melbourne Cup is a great justification for a new outfit complete with accessories. Head along tomorrow and frock up at Venetia ElaineRead and Bell, and Anakiz Organics. Add some headwear from Perez Trading and gems from Bowerbird Jewels and Antonia Scales. Small fashions can be found for the little punters at ScokenUmka Baby and Little Audrey. There’s also apparel for four-legged friends, too (or at least treats to keep them quiet while you party) at Goodie 4 PawsK9 and Two Little Puppies.

 Stock the pantry

Pick up a classic market basket from 2 Duck Trading and get busy gathering charcuterie goodies from Tothy Brothers Deli and The Great Southern Salami Co. Pick up staples of eggs from West Walla Farm and bread from Organic Bread Bar and Brooklyn Boy Bagels. Throw in some ready-to-cook pizza bases from Hank’s, condiments from Tar 10, and a revitalising beverage from Sentient Kombucha. Of course, you’ll need to fill the crisper and fruit bowl, too, so swing by Banana BarVeggie King, and Prickle Hill.

Takeaway or stay and play

It’s Saturday, so where else do you need to be than right here soaking up the community spirit in our vibrant outdoor market? Bring the picnic rug and make it as much a social event as a shopping one. Grab a coffee and treat from Thicc CookiesCrepes Mademoiselle or Berliner Bakery, or stay for lunch and enjoy a delicious noodle soup from Pho Bay, spicy Spanish morsels from Mojo PiconTurkish Gozleme, or crunchy Japanese cutlets from That Katsu Guy.

But wait, there’s still more!
Indulge yourself or someone else with well-crafted scents, potions and lotions from VerveElegance by AEmpath Ana, and Willen Collection. Get prepped for the Christmas onslaught with gift cards and wrappings from Wrappsody and Altrimeti. And if, by this point, the kids are getting restless, set them free to bounce their heart out at the Jumping Castle and throw a line in the Fishing Game, which both return this week.

Success in Belrose!
