Plenty for everyone at markets across Sydney this weekend

Just in time for summer coastal escapes, we’re now free to roam beyond our LGAs. No doubt you have already locked in that divine little holiday house you’ve been dreaming about for the past few months, your trigger finger hovering above the mouse just waiting for the green light to click the ‘book now’ button.

So now all minibreak fantasies have moved into the realm of reality, it’s time to prepare with a visit to the EQ market tomorrow to pick up some delicious supplies. First stop on your rounds should be freshly baked breakfast supplies and pastries from Organic Bread Bar and lunchtime bagels from Brooklyn Boy Bagels. Then make your way to Tothy Brothers Deli and Great Southern Salami Co. for goodies to furnish a well-supplied antipasto board, such as charcuterie and condiments. Next, you’ll want to make sure you have some simple dinners planned, because no one feels like doing chores on holiday. For that, head to Hank’s Pizza. Of course, you’ll also need plenty of healthy fruit and veg to snack on from Banana Bar, Veggie King and Prickle Hill. Plus, fill the fridge with refreshing bottles of cultured deliciousness from Zentient Kombucha.

This week at EQ

With the groceries taken care of, it’s time to peruse our lovely boutique market stalls for a special holiday outfit. Pick up a coffee and stroll the market for beautiful pieces of jewellery, eco-aware fashions, and plenty of handmade, unique trinkets and trends to keep you looking effortlessly styled.

Cherries for all!

It’s that time of the year we all look forward to… no, not Christmas (although, yes, that too). It’s cherry season! Prickle Hill are coming to the market tomorrow with the first-harvest of cherries from Griffith. Of course, for the first few trays of the season, you can be forgiven for simply devouring them by the handful, but you could also try making delicious summer berry treats, such as cherry clafoutis, cherry hand-pies, and pull out all your MasterChef skills for a black forest cake.

Christmas market season

We have a huge season of Christmas markets lined up, so you have every opportunity to find wonderfully crafted and thoughtful gifts for your favourite people. We kick off next Sunday (make a note, that’s the 21st November) with the Pittwater Christmas Market at Winnererremy Bay in Mona Vale. The following weekend, we’ll be hosting a two-day Christmas event, The Shire Christmas Market on Saturday and Sunday (27–28 November) at Seymour Shore Park in Miranda. And for your final chance to completely win at Christmas this year, head along to The Ultimate Christmas Market at the EQ on Sunday December 5. No excuses not to beat Santa at his own game this year.

Ryde and Belrose

Sunday is a great day for market lovers with two brilliant markets popping up their tents this weekend. We are happy to report that Ryde Wharf Market is back this week (and every second Sunday of each month) in Meadowbank. Set in the beautiful and historic reserve at Anderson Park on the banks of Parramatta River it’s a picturesque setting for your weekly shop. Here you’ll find boutique, artisan homewares, gifts and fashion alongside fresh produce and more than 20 hot food stalls to fuel a spending spree.

Our Belrose Produce Market is also becoming a firm favourite with Northern Beaches locals and returns again this Sunday. Pop on up to the Belrose Super Centre rooftop between 8am–2pm to fill your basket with high-quality, local produce and grab a bite from our delicious hot food stalls while you’re there.

We look forward to seeing you at the market.
