All your entertaining needs fulfilled at Cambridge Markets this week

As the party season begins to carefully ramp up, it’s safe to say we’ll all be entertaining at home a little more than we have in the past. If you suddenly find yourself volunteering to host a Christmas or New Year’s Eve soiree, remember, the best way to win at entertaining is to be well prepared and to make life a little easier where you can. There’s nothing wrong with taking a few clever shortcuts, in fact, it’s the secret to success. After all, your guests want to spend time with you, not watch you run around the kitchen in a state of high anxiety.

We’re here to be your hosting guardian angels. Whether you like to shop the market online or in person, we have loads of beautiful products to ensure your party is remembered for all the right reasons. Pop down to the EQ and secure your nibble supplies from stallholders such as Byron Bay Olive Co, Tothy Brothers Deli and Milnes Providores, as well as stocking up on baked goods, treats and fresh produce from our wonderful local farmers. And be enviably prepared with an online order of ingredients and pre-made goodies delivered to your door, such as our vegetable boxes, Kingsmore Meats cuts, True Organics cheese and plenty of pantry staples.

Don’t forget, the golden rule of hospitality is to remain calm. Nothing sets the scene for a relaxed gathering like a cool and collected host who greets you with a smile and a cocktail. Here’s to a perfectly prepared party season!

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas in Miranda with The Shire Christmas Market this weekend. Come along to Seymour Shaw Park on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm to tick some items off your Christmas shopping list. Enjoy 180 stalls selling everything from fashion to homewares and gifts, plus there will be plenty of hot food to fuel your shopping as well as live music and free parking! If you’re not in the spirit of the season yet, you will be after a stroll around the market. And remember to save the date for the Ultimate Christmas Market at The Entertainment Quarter on Sunday 29th November.

At the market this Wednesday and Saturday, Wrappsody is getting festive with an array of seasonal wrapping paper, gift cards, wreaths and more, and get prepped for Christmas. We’re also joined by Easy Tea this Wednesday at the EQ. Sip and savour these delightfully refreshing handmade iced teas that are brewed locally in the inner west. Low in sugar with no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives, Easy Tea embodies the simple, refined art of tea-making. Created by a hospitality stalwart who has spent many years learning the fragrant and finessed world of tea, these lovely teas are a guilt-free way to treat yourself. Stock the fridge with a selection for those scorching hot summer days.

Important notice for our wonderful online shoppers: Due to our special Christmas market in Miranda this weekend, we won’t be running our usual online delivery service this Saturday, so be sure to order on Wednesday to get your weekly groceries sorted. But don’t worry, we will be back to normal next week.

Be sure to check out our online specials for delivery this week, it’s a great way to save a few dollars and know that you’re enjoying the freshest, locally sourced produce that’s in season right now. Such as Roma tomatoes for $2.50 per kilo; tender asparagus at just $2.99 per bunch; and fragrant Kensington Pride mangoes for only $3.50 each.

Thank you, eat well and enjoy.
