A huge weekend for Cambridge Markets at EQ

Grab your tote bags and shopping trolleys, because this weekend we have comprehensively taken over the EQ with two huge days of markets. Roll down to support local business, do a weekly pantry top-up, and find a special something for Mum (and maybe for yourself, too). On Saturday, it’s our regular weekend market, where you can pick up fresh produce, fragrant flowers, artisan staples, and all manner of homewares and gifts from our clever and crafty sellers, not to mention our hot food stallholders who’ll be slinging plates and extracting espresso to warm an autumnal morning. If you miss out on Saturday, or if you love a market as much as we do, pop down on Sunday for our Ultimate Mother’s Day Market. Not only is this the perfect place to pick up a beautifully crafted gift for that wonderful woman who raised you, but it’s also a great way to shop local, be a community player, and bolster tiny businesses that have suffered unprecedented disturbed trading for much of the past two years. We call that a win-win situation.

No matter how tricky (or picky) your mum may be to buy for, there’s no doubt you’ll find something to surprise and delight her at Ultimate Mother’s Day Market. With a huge array of 180–200 stalls, ranging from boutique fashion and homewares to more epicurean gifts, you’ll actually be hard-pressed not to spoil Mum silly – and we can’t think of a mum who doesn’t deserve that! Shop stylish, painted pots from Honey and Ivy; artworks by Bronte Goodieson; pretty trinkets from Bowerbird, Bondi Rockz and Lilac & Lotus; sustainably minded Sydney fashion from Read & Bell; as well as hand-crafted tipples from boutique, small-batch distillery, Buffalo Vale Distillery, and exquisite vino form Hunter Valley winery, Savannah Estate. In fact, it may be a week early, but why not bring Mum down to the market for a coffee, a slice of cake and an outing with you. After all, time with you is no doubt the best gift of all, everything else is just icing on the cake.

Deli meat-lovers rejoice, for on Saturday we’re joined by The Great Southern Salami Co. Made using time-honoured Italian recipes, their vacuum-sealed morsels are crafted using traditional fermenting techniques and are Australian owned and made using local, stall-free pork. In the salami business for ten years, this family owned, boutique smallgoods seller will take your antipasto platter to new levels of deliciousness with their salami with black truffle, pepperoni, salami with green olive, and even kangaroo and venison iterations.
If that’s whet your appetite for a little indulgence, don’t miss Hudson’s Gluten-free Bakery treats; Scrumpets with their sourdough crumpets; Tar 10’s condiments and sauces, and Bottega 1900’s beautiful Italian accoutrements – all at the market tomorrow. Tuck in!

Thank you and don’t forget to show your mum some love.
