Cambridge Markets EQ has your Saturday shopping and entertainment covered

Because weekends are precious for everyone, we work hard to create a truly inviting and fun excursion for the whole family at our lovely undercover Entertainment Quarter market. Naturally, the experience begins with excellent coffee because, as we all know, caffeine is Mum and Dad’s little helper and makes everything run a lot smoother. And everyone will benefit from a little morning sweetness from one of our tempting stalls, such as a doughnut from Berliner Bakery or a cookie from Sergio’s Kitchen. Once caffeinated and sugar levels have been restored, you’re ready to wander the many varied and interesting stalls, from homewares and fashion to kids’ toys and delicious accoutrements. But yes, we understand all too well that shopping has an expiration limit for the younger members of a brood, so point them in the direction of a pony ride on an adorable steed, a bounce-tastic jumping castle or the fishing joy game. And lastly, just to remove any last semblance of what may be deemed hard work from the outing, there’s two-hour free parking at the precinct. You’re welcome.

This week, we’re shining a big, bright spotlight on our long-time stall, 2 Duck Trading. Run by French-born Martine and her partner, Miriam, this oh-so-chic business is all about bringing a little bit of France to the community. Selling everything from exquisite French linens, Breton T-shirts and Moroccan-made baskets, alongside Gallic pantry necessities of duck rillettes, duck fat, foie gras and cornichons, it’s a veritable celebration of the fabulous French way of life.

Joining us at the market on Saturday is Avoabode, where you can find a vessel of both beauty and education. The plant-loving people behind the stall are keen to help their avo-adopters to learn, interact and enjoy the lifecycle of Australia’s favourite breakfast fruit. House your seed in the stylish glass vessel, or rather, avo abode, and watch it grow. Also on Saturday, swing by Paris Daisy for lovely organic cotton children’s wear. And pick up a special bottle of vino from Savannah Estate Wines, and perhaps an aperitif (or nightcap, depending on the mood of the evening) of gin or vodka from Buffalo Vale Distillery.
